touching people

1. What do you think about this project and photo essay?- I think it is going to be very awkward to ask two strangers to touch eachother for a photo.

2. What would you do if someone approached you with a camera and asked you to participate in a photo shoot and then asked you to touch a stranger?- I would say no. A girl needs her space...

3. Think of an unusual photo shoot similar to this one that you think would be fun to go and shoot.- Maybe two people in dramatic poses trying to reach eacother.

4. Finally, tell me what you thought of the photography, did the photographer think about the rules of photography that you know about? What types of photos did he take?  I thought it was good photos, the photographer did use some depth in the photos and some balance, and framing.

sports actions more details.

Part !-
Name of the photographer-Alyssa Schukar
3 problems that the judges note with the portfolio-  not feeling the love or pain of the photos, no strong signals, seems to be a dark take
2 things the judge liked-  the guy sweeping with the guy in the hat, the girl who fell over the hurdle.
My overall impression, did I like it yes or no. why or why not.?
Not really because it did not have one direction the photos were just everywhere and it did seem on the dark side.
Part 2-  Some strengths I see are some angle views and lines definatly and the shutter speed, some weeknesses I see are actually putting to much blur in photoshop making the photo bad, it would've been better left alone.

Part 3 - the process invloves talking about each portfolio, and seeing the good and the bad in the photos they also talk about how the photographer is good and some of (s)he could also do better then at the end they would come to a conclusion and choose a winner.

Part 2 individual images - I agree with the first photo with the racer car because they used the leading lines going into the center of the photo, and some sense of motion. And there could be better lighitng but other then that it is a good photo.

One photo I disagree on is A picture of a guy laying flat in water and they do not like the photo but i like the photo because the photographer is using the pool lines to give more attention to the swimmer and the lighitng is very good.

Earth Quake

When I see this photo I feel that this is such a disater everybody has to be checked and sanitized because of the harmful germs outside. I think the photographer tried to capture everything to make the photo that more dramtic because even in the back you see hundreds maybe thousands more people waiting in line to get clean from the germs. The photographer also did balance on the photo.

When I see this photo it makes me feel that even though a horrific disater happend these two people will always be together and remebered. I think the photographer took this photo because everything is detryoed but yet here is one gracefull photo of this couple, even after this disater. (S)He used angle views, and lines.

When I see this photo it makes me feel reallly sad, because the japanese were prepared for a 30 ft wave to some but what they didnt know was that the earthquake made the earthsink 3ft down so the wall they had that was 30ft now is 27ft and the wave was still 30ft so they had alot coming there way. I think photographer took this photo like this because of the depth in it and you can see the water building up and theres some lines that lead you to the eye of the tsunami

Publishing Happy,Akins,Building.

akins
I think this is a good example of akins. Because it is the hallway that all of us students and teachers
walk through everyday. Now it is empty because all of the students and teachers are in class like they
should be during class hours. And I think it realates to the theme really good because this is akins, One small
peice but its part of this huge school known as and  called W. Charles Akins H.S.

building
I think this is aood photo because it has the time and time is really matters. The TIME this school
was made was the year 2000. time is everything and this means in a different way to me you probably
wouldnt think of but time is apart of this school, this school is 12 years old and this clock is apart
of this school and time is going and going and eveyrthing is chaning, even the school.

happy
I think this is a good photo because it involves one of the many academys at Akins.
And even though I am not in ABl2E it is still a good, happy, informative academy.
I think this relates to the theme by this photo having yellow and that symbolizes
bright, and happy feelings like the sun, and I also have to photo framed by the window
framing. It is also a good photo becasue it have a good pattern in it.

choice sheets

I would like to join the yearbook class. I think it would be really fun to take pictures that the entire school will see ( and hopefully like). I also would want to join yearbook class because I want to stick with photography throughout the rest of highschool so that I have the satisfaction of knowing that I started and finished something.

And this is my favorite yearbook spread-( this was a honorable mention)

I like this photo because in a way its funny because a white chick is getting maced!
I LOVE this photo because the tornado coming in is a tradgadey for one. But also because the lighting bolts are connected together WITH the tornadoe. It reminds me of my electroplasma lamp.
